if your gonna polish the intake id polish the covers. What color is the block and heads being painted?

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

the heads and block are aluminum, so they wont be painted. the front cover will probably be satin aluminum.

hummm, in that case id paint the covers break it up alittle

I say polish it all up, that way it will not only whoop people's butts, but blind em at the same time!

well, i fiugred id take a crack at polishing it myself. this is what i came up with:

got to keep going with the steps it looks rough still you need to step it to like 1500 2000 and then really fine. a buffing wheel with some polish/compound will help. a dremle wo do the hard parts. and it could be realy polished. good luck
trick flow street heat intake , 24lbs injetors, ported GT-40's (Chip) long tube headers. and a Performance Automatic C4, with a hurst shifter!

i havent been happy with it, since i took that pic. ive gone over it about 4 times now, and still cant get everything smooth like i want it.

i start with p120, then p220, then p320, then p800, then p2000, then i use mother's polish to shine it up.

That is cool man, that is what I have been doing with my '85 Cougar.  Why did you fill the wiper motor holes though?  take it is is going to be a track only car when you are done?
