New Tire question

Ok, as the title states, after the 4 barrel swap, the car needs new tires. I have both the white 14" 8 holes and the 15" 10 holes. What should i put new tires on and if so what size. I'll leave this one open . Right now, the 8 holes have 205-7014's and the 10 holes have 215-60-15's. Let me know. Brand is still up in the air, but both sets that are on it are futura's. Seemed ok to me.

I've used Uniroyal Tiger Paw and Firestone Firehawk. Firehawk is better in the wet stuff, but they both did fine. All depends on the money.
As far as width, wider is better.

How wide can you go and still be reasonable for 7" wide wheels? And it's already a bare bones project. My experiences with the futura's were good, and the BFG Radial T/A's on the vic were nice too.

i forget who makes them, but the series of tires are "talon"s and they're pretty cheap, but i dunno how they drive. i'd go with some yoko's myself... that or goodyear. i've had my goodyear viva2's for quite a long time, to the point i get sideways on dry asphault, but they've been through hell.

On my 10 holes,then the turbines,I used raised white letter BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.Nice tires and nice looking.On the polished snowflakes,I have GoodYear Eagles,which,are awesome.Wait until week after next,me Cobra R wheels with Z rated tires will be here !!!!!

I'll probaly go white letter BFG Radial T/A's in I'm thinking 225/60/15 front, 245/60/15 in the rear? or just 225/60/15 all around?

Ok, time to start pricing. Solid white letter 225-60-15's out of Summit they run about 79.95 each. Thats just under $400 for tires. Now maybe I can end up getting the BFG's cheaper elsewhere or Maybe I'll wing it on the brand of tire. Atleast I know the size

spoogeho ECSTA ASX in that size look ok to me. Any objections? This isn't going to be a soon thing. I'll probaly get them in the spring, as there is no way the car is coming out in the snow.

Remember, with cheap tires, you get what you pay for. Either a hard compound that doesnt grip, or a tire that wears out fast.

Well, I don't wana blow $300-ish on tires that I know I'll kill off by doing stupid stuff like brakestands. But the car is bearly ever driven. To school ( <2 miles) and work( about 1 mile) from my house. No roadtrips, nothing like that. So from a money standpoint, is the good stuff worth it at this point of just "cheaper" stuff?
