Pissed off opening the glove box?...

When I installed all of My luxury accessory in My Bird, I decided to don't put the fuel door and trunk switches in the glove box, this piss Me off to open these glove box at each time I have to open the truns or the fuel door, so...

I'll not install in the dash, it's too dangerous with My 6'1", I figured in the console lid, and YES!, I installed in, and don't regret it, just open a bit the console cover and puh the desired button, I placed the fuel near Me cauz I Prefer this, so, do as You like...

This is an insignificant mod, But I like it....

Here's a pic, and behind in the console (not very visible) it's a 2 meter radio ICOM IC-22A ham radio...

I hate to put a CB or Ham radio under the dash, so I decided to put in the console, just a Microphone is enough...

Best regards,

That is a cool mod. My 84 has the fuel door button there from the facotry. Mine is just inside the box pointed twards the rear. I do think that it is odd that ford makes you open the glove box to pop the electric trunk. That is if you don't have the keyless entry.

You can lock the glove box with the door/trunk key.

So you don't have to give parking garage attendants access to your trunk.
Having the ignition key also open the door would have made more sense. Then the attendant can't lock himself out of the car.

Newer cars have a one key fits all. so they have done away with that "security".

That is cool.
My friend had a MN12 Bird and his trunk release was in the console.
This site is giving me too many ideas and I have too little time and money.:shakehead
