Negative for onenastytbird??? (Nick)

I would strongly advise not to deal with Nick Noble [onenastytbird].

Info I have...

Nicholas Noble
Ferguson, Missouri
onenastytbird (on many boards, even ebay... one word google)
nnoble1780@yahoo.com
cardomain

Normally I'm a little more patient. But this should take 5 mins to resolve. You tell me what I should do? Here's the scoop.

I was interested in the SN-95 front brake setup he has for sale in the thread below. And after he sent me pics I offered him a price shipped. He asked for more due to the weight and I accepted this price and paypal'd him on 12/22/06. He stated that he would ship on the next day... the following day I receive an email stating that the carrier he choose wants more money, over a 150% more than what we agreed to. Granted it's still a nice price, but it's not what we agreed to and it wasn't within my budget so I asked for a refund that very same day (12/23/06). And since then I have not heard one peep from Nick. Not one.

For an uneventful Xmas Day I enjoyed my day off with my family and put this out of my mind. And yesterday (12/26/06) I sent my last email asking for him to respond by the end of the day or I will have to assume that he has no intention of doing so.

And today I am getting ready to file with paypal, unless I hear from Nick.

But, before I do so, I would like to hear from those who have dealt with onenastytbird. Anyone?

Been here less than 2 months.
15 posts.
13 of them in For Sale/Wanted.
A couple of token posts in User rides.

Hopefully he went out of town or something of the sort - I'd give him the benefit of the doubt just for a few more days, since it is the holidays and all that. Keep us updated!

Andrew stated it perfectly.  I'd say give him another week before you're 100% sure.

I re-read and I realized now that all you need from him is a few clicks on paypal's site.  I guess this really should've been resolved by now.

well from what i hear it cost alot more to ship that what was expected. now you cant blame a guy for not wanting to pay for your shipping, thats reasonable. i have had no problems with him on this or other sites. in a sence your asking him to pick up the tap for the extra shipping. we all know those arent light. i understand that it might be more that you are expecting to pay or agreed on but if he asked you to pay 150% more in shipping then how big of a hit would that be for him to sell them to you? wow he could make $40 on everything tops. and that doesnt include what he paid. so he would come out negative for sure. even if he refunds your money hell still lose cause of the paypal taxes and shiznit. so i say take the money back if you wont pay the shipping and let the 5 buck or so go for the taxes cause your backing out due to shipping cost when you should of known that they should cost more to ship that that. and if there is another carrier that will do it cheaper then who and go though them. think from the other side. i see the light at both ends but you cant expect a guy to take that big of a hit for your shipping

No, Ether decided not to get the parts, so he wanted the money he already paid to Nick back.  Am I understanding this right?

Not taking sides here one way or the other, but....

If I were in your shoes, I'd have gotten a specific quote on shipping before sending money.

Antonio.  From experience it should not cost more than 25 bucks to ship those UPS.  I shipped 40 lbs and it cost me 17 so I'm thinking 25 would be about right.

I have sold just as many parts on this board, nato, corral, eBay and other places as I have purchased. Never. And I mean never have I EVER asked anyone to pay up for my mistake and nor will I pay for theirs. Remember that part out of my 88TC a few months back when I charged $5 plus shipping for interior parts??? You honestly think I made $5 after shipping that center console to you?

And instead of making him hold true to his word I decided I'll let him off the hook by asking him to send my money back, which paypal will take their cut of. I didn't need them that bad. Truthfully I already have a set but that's beside the point. Furthermore I have shipped front brakes before and it wasn't anywhere near what he was asking. But that's beside the point as well.

The point is we reached a deal. I gave Nick money. Nick has my money. Nick underestimated shipping. Nick wants more money to ship. I asked for a refund. Nick stopped responding. Nick still has my money and the parts. How in the hell am I wrong???

I sent it to him via paypal. I asked for a refund a little over 12hrs after doing so. It should of been sitting in his paypal account at that time. Even if he transfered it into his bank account by now, all he has to do is send it back via paypal and paypal will do the magic for him.

Do you know Nick?

ok so i thank you for that broke ass console for 5 buck but i paid for the shipping, how much was it? i have that it was 15 for shipping. i might have the box still. if you wanted more i offer 10 but you said 5. and if shipping was more why did you never say so. if he was tring to rip you off that is the worst way cause packages come with the cost of shipping on the package. if you have made these mistakes where they ever this large of amount of money?
all im saying is people make mistakes. youll get your money back.

Stop.

Why are you speaking for Nick? Simply put, had he continued communication like he obviously must be doing with you we prolly wouldn't be here. I would be in bed right now so I can go to work in the morning.
