Long tubes, Glass packs, and Side exhaust?

So I'm doing my usual search of Evilbay and stumble across a local guy that has a warehouse of used Nascar stuff. Well looking through some of the ads I find a set of side dumps.  Now any one think I can make this work and get buy with it. I don't have to worry about passing emissons testing so thats not a problem. I already have longtube headers. So whats the chances of making it fit under the car?

If you don't have subframe connectors, it should work...

Sounds like a recipe for a noise violation ticket......many times over.

That setup is gonna be loud as all hell.

Well the cars is going to become a track only/street legal car. So it won't see much actual road time.

I've got BBK 1 5/8" Shorty headers and Cherry Bomb glass pacs on my bird with full lenght tails, and it is REALLY loud outside the car.  It will set off car alarms if i rev it going by a parked car with it on.  Sometimes just cruising by will set them off.  kind of fun actually.  Inside the car it is only slightly louder then stock believe it or not.

Gotta love all the sound deadener in these cars.:birdsmily:

The parts for a Busch car will fit better than the Nextel Cup stuff. The Busch wheelbase is 105" which is close to the 104" of the 87-88 cars. The Cup stuff is 110", and the exhaust exits at a lesser angle. Either may work fine depending on your headers.
I'm going to run the boom tubes out both sides on mine.
Dr Gas has a ler set-up for these, but it doesn't quiet it much....
