Turbocoupe rear to 5lug,keep abs??

Hey guy's,is there any way to keep my TC's abs functional and go 5lug???
What axles do i need???
Are the abs tone wheels able to be put on another axle???
As for rotors, guess it's easiest to redrill the factory ones to 5lug???
Anyone who's done this, info would be appreciated.
For the front all i have to do is get mark vii rotors and they will work with my calipers and abs right???

Most SN-95 (94-98) axles will have the ABS rings on them.

If you redrill the TC rotors to 5 lug, you also have to open the center hub ID to match the larger hub on the 5-lug axles.

The rear brakes are like this on the 83 currently (swapping to Cobras though)

So then the exciter rings from the sn95 axles will line up with the abs sensors on my TC rear end???
Also what if i just have the stock TC axles and rotors drilled to accept my 5lug pattern, remove the old studs and then install 5 new wheel studs in the newley made pattern???
Would the axles still be strong enough with the extra holes,i could have the old 4 lug holes welded up then ground flat???

Theoretically, couldn't he swap the exciter rings? Aren't they pressed on?

They are pressed on.  I'm not sure of the differences....me no use ABS on the 83....

You could go the route of modifying your axles, but then you wind up with a lug-centric set-up instead of hub centric as the 5-lug center hub is larger than the 4-lug one.

What do the 87-88TC exciter rings look like?

SN95 exciter rings are a different diameter.

I was unsuccessful doing the 5-lug and keeping ABS in place.
It's Gumby's fault.

So i guess the best and cheapest solution is to have my axles done.
Removing the 4 bolt studs, welding up the holes, grinding them flat them redrilled with the rotor to my new 5 lug pattern by a machine shop.
The only forseeable problem with this is the stud holes would have to be perfect center as i think the new rims i want have bigger centers and won't fit right snug like the factory ones.
So as chuck said they would becone lug centric instead of hub centric, unless i could find some inserts for the hub area.
Have seen them on many cars but i'm not sure of the size i would need.
I'll have to look into how much a macine shop will charge for the welding and redrilling of the axles and rotors, once done should be as strong as a regular 5 lug axle.
Never got an answer back but do the abs mark vii front rotors work with my abs system???
Should since the mark had the same kind of abs.
these are the rims i want http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290061149991&rd=1&rd=1
I think the offsets should be ok,anybody know???

They won't be any weaker, so that's not an issue.

On the concentric rings, you'll just have to measure.  I'm sure there's something out there.

As a side note, ALOT of folks leave them lug-centric w/o much issue.  The added security though would be nice.

I ran my Ranger like that for 2-3 years.

Can't tell you.  The only car I've ever had w/ ABS is the Scorpio.

I don't recall the Lincoln rotors I used on an early 5-lug swap years ago well enough to remember the ABS rings.
