Copied from my archives of the "old" site, compliments of jcassity

-----------------------

enter test mode my holding the TRIP RESET button and then turn
the ign switch on.

Cycle thru the tests by pressing the TRIP RESET button. A steady
ton on each with the capital letter "P" being displayed is a passing
test. NO tone with the letter "F" displayed means a test has
failed.

^^note,, no tone and the letter F doesnt actually mean the speedo
has failed. there are further steps involved to reason out why the
step has failed.

its neat,, the speedo itself has its very own on board diagnostic mode and various associated codes if there is a problem.  Comes in handy if you are all digi dash.  It allows you to troubleshoot the entire dash cluster. and the speedo.
