So I sold my Bird. Reply #16 – December 05, 2006, 10:45:13 PM It's tough to sell the T-bird but you have to do what you have to do. Nice car though.Quotetalk to some of these guys that have those tbirds or cougars that you actually might want over a more modern performance or sport lux car like Hawk or Eric. those guys love and are dedicated to there cars with much less concern about the monitary commitment than your average guy.I know it'll cost a bunch of money to make my T-bird run and handle as good as a more modern car but I'm not worried about that. I'm never getting rid of this car no matter how much time and or money it costs me. I know it's an old car and it'll never be the same as a brand new performance car. Do you think guys who own 49 Fords worry about making their cars handle just as good as a new car? Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #17 – December 05, 2006, 10:48:18 PM nice Firebird, and as others have said, dont be a stranger... just remember Birds of a Feather flock together Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #18 – December 05, 2006, 11:33:32 PM Nice Firebird. I drove a 98 Formula, and fell in love. The LS1 sounds great with exhaust. Quote Selected

So I sold my Bird. Reply #20 – December 06, 2006, 01:04:19 AM It's ok, I got a 77 Formula and I don't feel guilty owning it. I really don't feel guilty when driving it on the streets and get all those looks either... Quote Selected

So I sold my Bird. Reply #23 – December 06, 2006, 08:44:20 PM true dat yo' i dont know why so many ford guys dont respect/appreciate them. they are decent stock and its not hard to make them animals.... Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #24 – December 06, 2006, 09:02:28 PM I like the lines of the earlier examples of the last generation Trans Ams the best. Unfortunately they had the LT-1 that precluded the LS-1 and are well known smoke factories. I wounder if an LS-7 would drop into a 94 T/A without too much hassle...... Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #25 – December 06, 2006, 11:40:36 PM hey man nice ride. 6-speed or auto? 346ci out of the factory aluminum heads. 13's stock with a few bolt ons 12's cant beat it and they allways handle beter ... oh and the CHEAP parts factor Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #26 – December 11, 2006, 02:52:30 PM Hello again, sorry to bring back a dead thread, just been busy at work and haven't checked it in a while. Thanks for all the kind words from some of you, and to the others, I can't blame you for knocking my choice seeing as how this is a Ford board and all.As far as the 13.8 goes, it was my first time ever at the track in less than satisfactory racing conditions, like the 107 degree temp. It's an auto car, which I now know how to properly stall and launch, plus it's cooler outside, so I need to fix a header gasket, change the plugs and take her back. I hope to hit low 13's, maybe high 12's. Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #27 – December 11, 2006, 05:41:19 PM Okay, I don't care what anyone says, that Firebird is gorgeous. Congrats on the purchase and enjoy it!Isn't it funny though how you get turned down for a personal loan but you practically get a car loan thrown at you? I had the same thing lol. Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #28 – December 11, 2006, 07:07:32 PM Nice car, those are fun to drive. A friend of mine had a WS6 6-speed 5 years ago. that thing was fun. Is it a WS6 or does it just have the hood? Those LS1's are great. Was looking for one for a long time to put in a 69 camaro. Quote Selected
So I sold my Bird. Reply #29 – December 12, 2006, 02:22:04 AM Nope it's the real deal WS.6. If I had gotten a regular T/A there's a guy who does hoods here in AZ and I would have picked up one of his hoods. Quote Selected
