Cruise control cable?

Yesterday while going to work, I had the cruise on and I heard a snap while going up a hill and the cruise stopped working all together.  The cable broke (2 weeks ago my TV cable broke so must be a pattern), but my dad says that stores dont carry them.  Where can I find one?

I ended up finding someone with a cable and servo for sale and just using the cable.  The good news is you can use a cable from a Mark VII or Mustang too.  You might just want to post in the Wanted section and see if someone has one.

You could always yank the servo from a junkyard car and use the cable from that.
I think I have a servo with the cable somewhere, but it's from a 2.3 turbo car. I'm not sure if it would fit.

Try some where that sells resto parts for 5.0 Mustangs. They might have it.

Check you accelerator cable next. You don't want that to break:grinno: .

Last time mine went out was about five years ago and I was able to order a new one from Ford.  I'm not sure if you still could or not.

Haha yeah, seriously...

Thanks for the ideas guys; I'm unfortunately working Thurs-Sun this weekend (long hours too) so I don't see it being fixed for a little bit.  :(
