Question on changing wheels

I have an 87 Bird with the 14 inch steel wheel with the wire wheel caps. I am considering an upgrade on rims and am curious as to what effect changing to a 15 or 16 inch rim will have on the speedo. As always thanks for your insight.

rims themselves have no effect on the speedometer, as long as you use a tire that has the same outside diameter.
It's Gumby's fault.

If you get a taller tire, you can always get the speedo gear and swap it in.Quick and easy.About $8.00.
