WOW! I can't belive this thing sold!

My old man's been on me to sell one of his old Gibson guitars forever.  I didn't wanna mess with it cause he wanted $500 for it.  I figured it wouldn't sell and I'd be stuck with the listing fee.  Well,  I put it on last night just to humor him and I'll be ed if I don't get on the computer today and its already sold!

shiznit,  If I'da known it would sell that fast,  I'da asked for more money and kept the profit!

That's worth quite a bit more than what you sold it for.  Vintage Gibsons are like gold.  You happen to know the model number?  If it's a '59 melody maker, it's worth at least $1250, maybe more in good condition.

no sheets on the bed? i take it you had your new boytoy over and had to hide the evidence

in all actuality, those guitars go for a hell of alot more than that, whoever got it got a steal

Well,  its not exactly in mint condition.  Like I said,  its got some scratches and chips in it.  But,  all my dad wanted was $500.  So he's happy.

The model number was 936044.  I think it probably is worth over a grand,  the guy called me up and asked if he could pay extra and have it insured for $1000.  The guy must be a collector,  He's bought a bunch of other guitars for over $1500!

I don't know what that is.  He's got another old Gibson.  Its in real good shape,  But hed never sell it.

shawn, do you secretly lust after men of daren's type?  could this be the reason why your frustrations are so evident on every thread that daren is on? sort of like a stalker on a mission? are you the missionary man? or the alter boy? or could it be jealousy :evilgrin:

i thought you were on my side fugger!

the reason i bring Darens situation to attention in every thread is because this is something that we should all know and understand, and accept, because people like Daren shouldnt be left out of activities/discussions/flame wars because of his shagual preference, we need it called to our attention so that we are able to accept him for the person he is, and rather than the men he chooses to date
