rough idle/stalling

I have a '83 t-bird 5.0 with idle and stalling issues. While at a stop light, while in drive, the car will start to flood and miss then stall. It will start right back up with no problems.

The car sat for several years before I bought it. When I drove it home the idle was extremely high. In the mornings when I started the engine..the engine would rev fast and wouldn't kick down to a appropriate idle speed. Now it idles much better but is stalling.

There is also an issue with it flooding/missing when I am leaving a stop light. It happens while trying to get up to driving speed.

Any ideas???
