I have pics of Layla last winter covered in ice (with little stalactites off of the scoops) when I was snow-driving her. It spent it's life driving in Indiana winters. Hell I drove my Ranger for about 3 years (it had 35K on it when I bought it...sold it with 55K)...it was rust free save for one spot when I got it....Even with diligent cleaning and waxing, there was rust forming on the body. Same thing happens in Chicago (we're your neighbors). The slightest bit of snow and they dump 1 inch of salt. Hell when I go to the wreakers I can poke holes in the lower quaters of most cars over 6 years old with my finger! One thing that puzzles me though is Crown Vics. I see Police Interceptors that have been used by the police department and taxi companies with 300,000 miles on them and little to no rust. They must wash those things every day in the winter.
