Decisions, decisions... November 08, 2006, 07:06:15 PM I'm not sure how many of you know, but I work at Sears (albeit not for much longer as I'm starting a new job in a few weeks). Anyway, we're having a big employee-only sale this Sunday and they've got a KILLER deal on this one Craftsman toolbox set. It's a top & bottom unit with ball-bearing drawers, regular price $450, on sale for $270 minus my 10% discount. So I could get it for roughly $255, you can't beat that deal with a stick. However, I don't have the money for it right now, but I could put it on my gold mastercard and pay it off in a couple months.Whatcha think? I've been needing a "real" toolbox for awhile now, and I honestly don't think this is a deal I can pass up. Quote Selected

Reply #3 – November 08, 2006, 08:02:39 PM I've been carrying a balance on my credit cards for several years...it's no biggie, I don't go out and just buy everything I lay my eyes on. If I do buy this, I'll be carrying maybe $800 between two cards, and I could always transfer the balance off the gold mastercard to one of my other cards with a much lower apr (one of the cards I have sends me "courtesy checks" all the time where you can get 4.99% apr on whatever you use it for until the amount is paid off)I'm no noob to credit cards and my credit is good enough that I didn't even need a deposit when I got my cell phone a couple months ago. I got the mid-grade set a year ago with the free middle section, and with 10% off discounts for 4 hours only (right after Thanksgiving), plus another 10% off using the Sears card, I think it came to like $280. So to get the top-of-the-line set for that price...yeah...don't hesitate or you'll kick yourself. Quote Selected

Reply #9 – November 09, 2006, 10:42:14 PM This set isn't quite top of the line...now if it had the ball bearing drawers and the Griplatches it would be top of the line, and I wish they had a set of those on sale for near that price because those boxes are just pimp.Anyway I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pick those up. They have two other sets with the "quiet glide" drawers on sale for less, but I honestly hate the quite glide drawer slides, they bind up too much and allow the drawer to get all pen 15eyed too easy.
