I see no reason why they shouldn't unless they are too tall.

Um...those aren't '06 valve covers and they aren't really intended for EFI. You better check things out more thoroughly before you buy...

They can be used, but ther's a down side. You'll have to drillout the holes that hold your throttle cable to the EGR spacer so that it will clear the taller valve cover, and, the holes for the opil filler will be under the throttle cable bracket, and the other will be under the upper intake. Not cool.makes oil changes suck.I'd stick with EFI covers and geta nice set. There are chrome ones on E-bay all the time for less than #20..00 plus shipping that are a direct replacement for the current factroy covers. Those that you are looking at really aren't worth the time and aggrivation they will give you.Just get the right parts for the right job the first time and call it good.

You use EFI covers on a non-EFI engine but you can't use non-EFI on one with EFI unless you use spacers I think

First of all...please don't take guesses when it comes to someone else's money being spent. Second, unless you "know", and not "think", please don't post. That's how misinformation gets started.

You can use non-EFI covers on an EFI car with modifications. Trick Flow sells an oil filler neck that can be installed in any valve cover. I have that on my tall chrome non-EFI valve cover. If the driver's side valve cover has a back grommet you have to use a breather, with tends to get oil all over that side of the engine bay. Johnny Cougar has non-EFI covers on his MN12 5.0 and they worked. Very tightly though. Plus he needed an intake spacer. Plus, he now needs a funnel with a flexible neck to put oil in.

So can you use them? Yes. But it's not recommended for EFI because of the mess and because it's not optimized for that particular setup.

I have some chrome ones made for 5.0 EFI cars on my Bird. I got them from Auto Zone (:pbb: ) about 3 years ago. I don't know if you can get them anymore. They have a hole on the passenger side in the correct location and the driver's side is blank with no hole. They didn't have a tube with a cap so I "improvised" a bit. I got a 1.25" chrome plumbing pipe from the hardware store and pounded it into the hole to create a filler neck. I then bought a breather for a 1.25" tube and bolted it on (the pcv valve needs to draw air from some where). They look good but because there is no baffle on the cover oil gets splashed up the fill tube and some gets on the plug wires. I have to clean them once every two weeks. When I put the HO in the car in the spring I'm going to use stock aluminium HO valve covers so I don't have to clean up the  oil mess.

Oh yeah they fit fine with no spacer on the upper intake. You can see one in the picture though. I added it later because I wanted the 2 ft/lb torque it adds:grinno:

On a side note does anyone know if these would clear 1.7 roller rockers?

I would imagine they would since the chrome steel covers are much thinner than the aluminum covers, and you have to do some grinding on the aluminum covers for the 1.7's to fit. These chrome ones are on E-Bay all the time for less than $20.00.I have a set of the factory aluminum covers (came with the H.O),and I polished them.Very sweet.
