5.0 T5 swap 90% complete Reply #2 – October 22, 2006, 07:39:31 PM She is now 100% done! Fired it up tonight, god I missed the sound of a 5.0L:shakeass: It IS plug and play with the '88's with the exception of the fuel lines. I just cut them where they are steel leaving about 1.5" s of steel on the end of the plastic linesm then double flared them and lengthened them with fuel injection rubber hose.:dunce: I will run the proper 5.0L fuel lines later, just couldn't wait to fire it up.:grinno: Here are some pics of the completed engine. Will add videos after supper. Quote Selected

What is that?I know what you mean about 3.8s. I test drove an 88 T-bird with the "good" 3.8 (it had 39,000 original miles) and I was amazed at how weak it felt. I know my 5.0 SO isn't that strong but it felt like my car could have run away and hid from that 3.8 car.Oh since you have a 5.0 SO with a T5 and a 3.27 open how about you come down to Chicago and I'll run my 5.0 SO AOD and 3.73 Traction-Lok car against ya? Who will win? Quote Selected
