Hey, that's pretty cool!

I was quite amazed that a request was made to ban specific people due to a disagreement with those persons while those persons, IMHO had done nothing negative against the boards. Having a disagreement with someone is part of everyday life. We have them all the time. Most people either work their way through it or learn to work around it.

How silly would it be for me to request someone be banned simply because they stated they don't like my car because of the color and I said my color was "teh coolness" and their reply was "umm, no". I realize the topics discussed had potential to get a little more heated than that, but I think you get the idea.

What is up with this place?

Good point. When we have an arguement with our neighbour, do we call the cops and request they remove your neighbour from the hood?

It's time for another metaphor. Message boards are like oceans. Full of strange fish, and once in a while there's an oilspill. It gets cleaned up and the fish keep on swimming. We don't get very many oilspills on the fox t/c board, and when they happen, we rarely loose a fish over it. Stick that in my pipe and smoke it.

Thats what I do. I don't want my paint to get scratched by her buttons and zippers as I drag her off the hood of my car myself. At least if the cop is there I can file a police report and have the neighbor cited for vandalism, and then have their insurance company pay for the damage.

Here where I live I just stay inside and keep to myself. Most of my neighbors are a bunch of Dumb shags! If I don't go near them they can't piss me off and so on. ANy how keep those post coming.

Some of you don't realize just how good you have it here. I'd much rather see the occasional locked thread than either of the alternatives, rampant bannings or total chaos.

I won't mince words.. Eric and I (for example) have had some pretty significant altercations in my time here.. but not once do I ever recall him threatening to ban me over it. We may never see eye to eye on some things, but I have respect for him for not taking the easy route. The other two admins conduct themselves similarly. This is a major plus for this place.

If some of you tire of the antics of others, there's always the Ignore User feature. I suggest trying that out rather than publicly calling for bannings and posting multiple threads about their transgressions.

What is up with this place?

The reason for the thread locking is simple. People have opinions. People done like opinions. People start an "e-fight". Thread gets locked.

If an opinion was discussed, rather than trash talked, there would be no thread locking.

In respect, the admin do an awesome job of keeping this board up and running..

People have hot tempers.. Ill admit.. I do to a point, but showing it over the internet isnt gonna get ya anywhere.... being calm cool and collected is what its all about

Yes, I enjoy some of the "hate on this" threads cause I like to see diversity in oppinions.

On a completely unrelated note, somebody ran over a skunk about 300 yards from my house tonight. Not pleasant. It actually seems to be getting stronger. Hopefully the person in the house directly in front of the mess will get rid of it somehow (and if it ends up in my yard it'll be going through his window)

My opinion is just that, my opinion. Every day I get behind the wheel I'm always trying to keep an eye out for some knuckle dragger whose decision to drive fast and or wrecklessly could involve me in a major accident. I couldn't go on if anything ever happened to my three year old daughter, my fifteen year old son, or my wife, especially if it were due to someone elses flagarent stupidity behind the wheel.
I spoke my opinion, and I stand by it. If that makes me an idiot, well, then so be it. I'm an idiot. If someone else doesn't care for my thoughts, that's fine as well. Why?
