It's been a long and weird week so far!

So this week started out just like any other week, slow.  Monday morning I woke up and I felt a little sick but I figured that it was just a cold because that’s what is going around at school.  I went to Normandy high school for cosmetology just like any other day, but it just felt weird.  I convinced myself that I was fine for a while, but then we started learning how to section/wrap a perm.  Everyone in my class watched as the teacher showed us how it was done and I started to feel hot, dizzy, and nauseated.  I figured it might be just a fluke feeling until it started to get worse.  So I went to the back of the room and sat in one of the chairs trying to calm my self down so I could continue to watch and see how to give a perm.  One girl who was standing by me noticed how pale I looked and how I was starting to shake because my pulse started to race.  She asked me if I was ok and if she should go tell the teacher.  So she went and got the teacher and the teacher went to the clinic and got the nurse to bring a wheelchair because I could not stand.  While she did that everyone stared at me because I got so pale and everyone asked if I was ok, and to tell the truth I was real scared at what was going to happen!  A couple minutes later the nurse came with my wheelchair and wheeled me away while everyone was whispering and staring at me.  The nurse asked me all these questions like if I ever experienced any of this before, or if I had a history of heart problems, etc. which I answered no to because I didn’t think I did, and I don’t.  A couple of my friends went into my cosmetology locker to get my stuff because I was going to go home.  After I left I felt a little better so my mom took me to the mall to get Chinese food [orange chicken].  I ordered the big container and ate all of it!  Which surprised everyone, even me!  I did not sleep when I got home I was just on the couch watching tv all day.  By the next morning I just thought that it was all just a bad day or fluke thing.  I was really energetic and excited to see everyone the next day.  We were all going to discuss professional image in theory for cosmetology when I started to feel hot, dizzy, and a racing pulse again.  So I went straight to my teacher instead of just waiting for worse things to happen.  My friend who goes to Normandy [because I go to Valley Forge high school] walked with me down to the clinic so that way if I did pass out someone was there with me.  The nurse called my mom and gave me juice and crackers hoping that would make me feel better because I was determined to stay at school all that day so I did not have to miss anymore work.  I stayed in the clinic for about an hour sleeping on a cot and then I just went back to cosmetology to start my perm sectioning/wrapping.  I felt better that day even though I still had some of the symptoms I experienced before.  A couple people mentioned a few different things that could be wrong with me such as: low blood sugar/pressure or anemia.  My mom scheduled a doctors’ appointment for this morning at 9 A.M.  They tested me for just those things and everything came back completely normal.  So I walked out of the doctors’ office after the physical/blood work was done.  I was completely normal just like any other kid.  They took blood from my finger and they gave me a meningitis shot in my left shoulder which both of them I pretty much cried like a baby with my mom holding my hand.  My doctor said all she could recommend is eating/drinking more in the morning, and if I’m standing for long periods of time, which in cosmetology there is no time for sitting which might be a problem but whatever I’ll get over it, I just have to get the blood moving so it doesn’t all go to my feet. She also said that if this keeps happening that I will have to be further tested.  I hope that doesn’t happen because I really do not like going to the doctors!  So I sure do hope this week gets better because it has gotten off to the worse start a kid could ask for!  Also, there has been a staph infection going around football teams in my area.  It is passed through sweat, open sores, bodily fluids, etc. so it’s being passed through contact sports basically.  Rumor has it that it is now at my high school, Valley Forge.  Everyone at my school got a paper about what it is and how to prevent it.  All the schools that have had it have had to close down the locker room and disinfect it pretty much to get rid of it.  There are rumors at Valley Forge that the school is going to be closed down to disinfect the whole school, but it says that there are no confirmed cases at Valley Forge, yet. So my week has been crazy enough, good thing we’re half way through it.

I've got blood sugar problems, sometimes if I don't eat, and get fairly active, I'll get dizzy, weak, nausous, etc.
The stuff sucks...but not much I can, 'cept eat all the time :grinno:

Anytime I dont eat breakfast I get that way. I have a very fast metabolism, I eat at least 5 times a day, normal meals anyway, plus snacking. I eat more than any of my friends when at restaurants, and I loose more weight than I can gain. Im stuck at 150 no matter how much I eat, and Im always doing something, so I guess that helps the fast metabolism.

Same here....

Every year at least 3 times, one day i wake up and all the day i am felling like Samantha described above. I dont have the minimal idea what it is. Someone told it may be low blood pressure. I take a little can of pen 15e with an aspirine and works well....

I'm not trying to diagnose anything here, but blood sugar problems  can be serious, and people have them for years sometimes without knowing.
If blood tests came back inconclusive, I'd have another done at a different place.

Believe me, most days I wake up too weak to do much more than get dressed, but once I eat, I'm fine for a few hours.
The condition I have is called Hypoyglycemia...

again, not saying this is what's wrong...

mmm, since i really, really, REALLY hate doctors, i have to ask in "mechanical terms"...so, is this bad like oil starvation or passing coolant to the cylinders ?
