wow! that is one sweet looking Cougar!!!! i'm not a fan of chrome myself (or Cobra R's... except for the fact that you can get them in many different widths. *shakefist* curse you Cobra R's!!!) but they look fantastic on your car. I wouldn't change a thing. except... maybe ride height. heh. ^_^

It's hard to make a black car look good since black magnifies every imperfection ten fold, but that one looks great, good job to whoever did the prep work for that  paint. I can't dis the Cobra Rs since I had a set on one of my Mark VIIs about five years ago, as long as you like em on there.

I got the car looking exactly like that (well minus the rims of course). And the previous owner told me that the paint job is about 10 years old. So I say hats off also to the previous owner for keepin' her looking like this. I just hope I can continue to do so.

That thought has crossed my mind.. but the headlight buckets tie in the grey bottom half of the car, and the grille now ties in with the Cobra's so all in all I think leaving it alone works for the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
