80-82 XR-7 Stuff

Well since I have pretty much decided I'm going to put the XR-7 into driver duties in place of the Z-7, I'd like to hunt down a few pieces.
JY access around here sucks, so if anyone in their travels happens upon one of these beasts please let me know.

Right now high on the list-

Obviously most are not easily shipable items, so in the Midwest would be good.

Just keeping the feelers out.

The hood ornaments are regularily on ebay and NOS cougar ornaments usually go for around $20 I believe.

I almost had that bumper insert for you but the day before I got to the guys house his son "cleaned up" the back field, 3/4 of the trunk is visible under two eldorados at the bottom of a ravine :barf:

He woulda given the car to me too...

I hate people..

Anyway i'll still keep an eye out.

About 3 weeks ago there was an White '81 'Bird in the local yard. I can try to get out there this Saturday, and see if it is still there and see what condition it is in.

A-pillar trim, very fragile after 26 years... also good ps dash trim with wood grain in good condition (no scratches, stickers etc.) also illuminated entry switches, the key hole will be out about 1/4' from the door and larger than normal.

Also need a ds door panel and inside rear panels if I choose to go with the big side windows over the opera windows but they'd be too big to ship.

Afain, no promises. I don't even know whats there, but if there is an 81-82 bird/cougar I'll grab what ever you guys want. Just don't get those hopes up too high yet. I'll make a driveby tomorow

Sorry guys, didn't see any Box Birds there. I found an 87 TC and some MN-12 and about a dozen Stang's but nothng for you guys.

I know a guy with a 78-9? that lives just down the street. i can ask him if he know anyone. I'll keep my eyes peeled though.

I had to work, so I wasn't able to make it out Sat. But, according to this website http://www.marshallsautoparts.com/ they have a hood for you at a really great price.

So.....who wants to pick this up for me :D It would be a couple weeks before I could get that way...and with my luck it would get smushed by then.
