Supercoupe Trans? Reply #5 – January 11, 2006, 06:22:42 PM I am pretty sure that 87-88 had the hydraulic clutch, and that may be a Mazda, but the earlier TCs had a cable activated T5. Even the brake and clutch pedals for the cable cars have Mustang part numbers on them. I just dont know when they moved to hydro. Quote Selected
Supercoupe Trans? Reply #6 – January 11, 2006, 06:25:49 PM Also, but not 100% sure at all, I thought the autos were A4LD, like in the 4 cyl Stang, and the Ranger, and the Aerostar. Ford still uses the same basic design of the A4LD in the Lincol LS, the 6 cyl Explorer, '05 Mustang. All they did was change some simple internals, and electronic valve body, and added another gear ratio to make it a 5 speed auto. Quote Selected
Supercoupe Trans? Reply #7 – January 12, 2006, 02:51:42 AM The topic is on SUPER coupes. and FYI all turbo coupe with sticks had t5's (only in '87,'88 with the hydraulic clutch). '83-'86 had C3 autos and yes '87,'88 had the A4LD. Quote Selected
