EEC number HO or not?

installed this EEC on my son's HO Tbird we built.

car wont start, acts like the firing order is way off.

can anyone tell me If this EEC number is just SD or is it really HO?
EEC was traded for spindles

if this is not HO, I need one for our HO build going on now.

That's an 86 Gt 5.0 5 speed ECM. So yeah it's an HO speed density ecm

interesting,
my son's bird is 5.0HO,
the car would not start, engine back fired and acted like the firing order was wrong... he just assumed its not HO........


he swapped his HO eec back in and all is well.

WTF  >??? bad eec or what?

Possibly. Open it up and see if anything is burnt up

need another one if someone has a good HO SD EEC, posted a thread up in the "want to buy" marketplace.

thanks everyone,, guess this one is toast... not sure how though.  these things rarely go bad unless someone made some unwise choices with DC power while it was hooked up.

Is something wrong with the current HO EEC he's running?

Edit: never mind It's not the Thunderbird Sport
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Scott, let me see if I still have another HO SD EEC. If I do, it's yours.

If I don't, let me know what I owe you, or what it will cost for another one.



I've had some real neat stuff going on here, I haven't touched a Mustang in over 4 months.
I just got your email notice...I'll make a point to see what EEC's I have left.

You did say in the other thread it was for an HO car, and it ran well with the previous HO eec? I know I had one that I tested in the Tbird and had no issues...apparently it m ust not have been the one I brought to W. Virginia in January. I'm sorry.

Ive been watching your thread also.  very sweet looking color scheme.  I personally like machine gray and black under the hood, just my taste, yours looks wonderful though.
My son has a odd ball problem on his build as well.. still has us stumped  but we live with it until I get lucky and come across the right person who can help.
