Not a fox...but a hot-rod 2-door panther...exh clip

It's been awhile since I've been here, been working on my '85 2-door Crown Vic and the 351w from my old '88 'bird finally lives again in my nastier form...here's a little exhaust video, the FAST EZ-EFI is still learning the idle, so in the vid it sounds like an old radial engine firing up...lol.

Nevermind my buddy diggin in his butt...lol.

It sounds like a P-47 when it starts. Cool :).

The engine sounds good. What lers are on it?

That's what you call a sleeper, if it had some quieter lers on it.

Yeah I was gonna say sleeper, but it sounds way to awesome to pull off the sleeper thing.  Sounds nasty (in a good way)!!

It's got summit welded lers...basically flowmaster knock-off's....it's lost all the P-47 exhaust note on start-up now that the FAST system is learning more and more(I grew up next to a grass air-strip that had a lot of old radial engine planes coming and going, so that sound was EXTREMELY familiar).  I can keep it faily quiet if I drive it right, I still have to see about pulling the Duraspark distributor apart and see what mechanical advance arms it has in it and put a lighter spring in...feels like mechanical advance is starting to kick in around 4000rpm and I'd like to see it as early as 2800-3200 rpm.  I have the base timing at like 6* right now because the mechanical could be as much as 30*, I'll play it safe until I know for sure what's what.

Yeah, that's a sweet ride...I know him from GMN forums...I'm a member on CVN, but most of the guys talk about late model stuff and don't seem to have much info on the boxes...I practically live on GMN...infact when I had a question about getting the right coil springs to lower the car and stiffen it up, he provided plenty of pictures of his car with various springs installed and it was extremely helpful.  That's making good use of all these specialty forums!

grandmarq.net...it's a forum for the panther chassis cars...that link above is from CVN (crownvic.net)...the latter being more geared towards later model stuff.

Here is my build thread with pics on GMN...http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthread.php?47026-My-351W-slow-progress-build  the first two pages are most relavent, the last page is more b/s than anything.

I love it. Wish mine sounded as good. 2.5" or 3.0" mandrel bent exhaust? Good to see you're still live and kickin Don.

Yeah man, still alive and kickin as hard as I can....lol.  It's got 2.5" pipes, mostly mandrel bent...the pipes that I had to make don't have major bends in them so it's not too bad...the exhaust probably still flows more than I'll ever need.  I need to save up for some decent tires and get this thing to the track.
