Manual rack?

The sport and TC have the same steering rack. It is a higher ratio than the LX and 6 popper variety. That is why there is such a difference. When using a manual rack it is not a 15:1 ratio....more like a 7:1 . That halps with the parking lot churn. It would be more like 5 turns lock to lock vs the 2.5. It is just a slower ratio so it does not take more power. That is all. So with a manual rack it would be fine. With a power assisted rack and the pomp removed....eat your spinach Popeye.

I doubt there could be any legal issue with throwing the power steering pump out. It wouldn't both me any. It does not turn the car, it just helps alittle. My grandma had a mazda with manual steering and I couldn't even turn it stopped in a parking lot when I was 16. I was only about 6' and around 140lbs then. Now I'm 180 to 200lbs and 6'5" or so.

i drove around an 83 citation with the ps belt off ,, by all rights eat your spinich x 2.

the road feels better but when it comes to dead stop cutting the wheels,, screw it.

No legal issues here. Since I will have an actual manual rack that will never know it had P/S. If it doesnt work out I can swap in a power rack down the road. I dont see it being too much of an issue.

Buzzard, you could loop the lines if you wanted to since it is a stock car. Manual steering for free.

doh...never thought of that...my brain has been screwed up lately.
