Help Parking Brake / Emergency Brake Cable Routing Diagram Reply #8 – May 11, 2016, 02:41:46 PM Aerocoup's autozone link looks like a lift right out of the Ford shop manual.I think the cable you want is the "intermediate cable"The removal instructions from the '84 shop manual:1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.2. Remove the cable adjusting nut.3. Disconnect the intermediate cable ends from the left rear and the transverse cables.4. Remove the cotter pin, washer, and spring from the pin protruding through the equalizer lever assembly, and remove the lever.NOTE: The intermediate cable cannot be separated from the lever assembly. Help Parking Brake / Emergency Brake Cable Routing Diagram Reply #10 – May 11, 2016, 08:24:31 PM Go to one of the parts houses in town and get all four different cables and if they don't stock them then order all of the cables. Take them home and one of them has to be the one you need. Return the others. When I looked them up on OReilly's website they gave the lengths so that may narrow it down as well. They also had pretty decent pictures but going off that is like playing Russian Roulette with only one bullet removed. Quote Selected
