Vehicles/projects/cars regretted?

I've got just a few;

My '86 Stang LX Coupe. Was my first Mustang. Some previous owner did a hack job to it, with some 2bbl carb setup. Me and a friend worked it over a little. I swapped off the silly Tempo wheels that were on it (after breaking a front hub, thank god I was on a city street and only going 25) with turbines...235/60 on the rear...loved the look.

I also swapped in a T5 from a 93 after I split the old SROD 4 speed's case one night banging gears hard.

We also put a hood from an '83? GT on it...the one with the big scoop. We turned the scoop around. It looked sinister.
I traded that car on my first Thunderbird. I love my '87-8 Tbirds....but that one sucked. Hit a deer, took the front clip off. After I got it back from the shop...the next night the engine overheated and I pretty much junked it over the next 4 years.

The other regret I have is junking my '92 F150. It was a nice, good driving truck. I put nearly 150,000 miles on it in 2 years. I'd love to have a Centurion (basically, a four door Bronco...think Expedition with a removable lid).

The last regret is my current Thunderbird. I wish that I'd never yanked the EATC out. I'd love to swap all the stuff back in, but I'm so burnt out on it I don't want to touch it. I'm actually considering listing it for sale, but I know if I do, I'll have an ever bigger regret.

I also had a TC that I wish I'd not parted out, although I didn't have a title for it.
It would have made a donor car for if/when I ever came across a 4 eyed Tbird roller.

My latest regret is selling my black 87 TC in Jan 2012.
Car had 67K miles, all original and looked great.  Had a crack in the block I believe.
Sold it $ 1,200.
What a bonehead move on my part. I was in a "selling mood" at the time.

I have since gone back to "ding"....LOL

An old guy I knew years ago had a '77 F350 4X4 Dually with the 400 and a 4-speed. One day I was over at his house talking to him, when the truck started cranking over by itself (we were on the porch, nowhere near it). Being a 4-speed, of course it started moving. Being lakefront property you can well imagine where the truck ended up... Thankfully it was a tough old pig and the water was shallow (only came up to the headlights) so it wasn't damaged. I put a new starter solenoid in it for him shortly thereafter :D

The only project I ever regretted was my '88. I went too far trying to turn it into a handler and ruined it. It handled great, but was too rough to drive and enjoy.

As for cars I regret, there are two: The 1991 V6 T-Bird and the 2000 Volvo V70XC. It would be a close match, which one was the bigger POS. The T-Bird made me swear to never own another MN12 or Esshag V6, the Volvo made me swear to never own another Volvo period (even though I'd love to drop an LSx into an old 740 wagon or 780 Coupe).

I've said it before- I regret selling my 83 to a guy who promised he was going to make a father-son project out of it. He drove it home, used it to pack up and leave his family, and drove away. He must have not drove too far away, because he junked it, and it's in a junk yard right by my house. GRRRR! That was a great car, it just needed some more work. I thought it would have a good home with that guy. Him and his son begged me to sell it to them all the time. I finally caved in, and now it's junked.
