Saw something that broke my heart yesterday...

I see some very nice cars on the road in the winter that make me wonder why they drive them.
But then i look back at my old cougar that i drove every winter and my T bird that replaced it.

I enjoy driving my car and fooling around with it.
But burned into my head is the day my Cougar died.

For me i cant chance lightning striking twice but i want to take her out and fool around.

I was sitting in the parking lot at work the other day and I hear the sound of a wide-open throttle... What flies by? A viper! Down a sloppy, salty, DEAD END road. He hit the cul-de-sac and did a perfect 180 drift and went flying back out. That was a little strange...

Doesn't bug me at all. I bought my car to drive it, and get me from point a to point b. Not just to look at it. It would be nice to have a garage to park a car, but I really wouldn't treat it much different. Just fix the oil leaks and things like that when they come up.

I have to agree. My T-Bird will never be a show car, not going to pretend it will.

I drove my car daily until '04 or so (EDIT: well I did buy a POS Grand Prix off my sister to drive in the winter in 03) .  Now I have enough money invested in it and it has enough sentimental value that I'll be ed if I will let the winter salt ruin it.  I'd rather preserve it so I can enjoy it for years to come.
