Ne neither, crazy problem, and not the first 50 things I would've thought of if I hadn't heard that noise.I have driven with a third tank of gas a lot,and under normal conditions (meaning a good welded baffle),no issues at all. She's back in shape now.

Vinnie, always hate losing a day off. But just for the record, my weekend went to heck also.  Won't get into details, but it involved my TC, my oldest son, a cornfield, two shredded tires (both passenger side), two destroyed wheels, a 45 degree embankment/gulley with a total of 20 feet of drop, the local police, county sherrif, a $126 tow bill, another radiator, starter solenoid, and more time than I care to remember. And yes, we did pee test him when we got home. It was clean.

He does actually posess a car of his own.  We're currently finishing up a 2.3Turbo/5 speed swap into his 89 Mustang hatch.  Tore out the 5.0 HO/automatic to do it. (don't panic, it was originally a 4 cylinder five speed car).
The police and my wife and I think he may have been ruffied, because his wallet is missing (along with the $250 he won in poker earlier that night) , and he has absolutely NO recollection of what happened after about 1:30 a.m.

That sucks. He'll remember some stuff eventually. The car is fixable, right? No frame or core support damage?

Well, it wasn't exactly a show car, but I do like it.  However, after I get a replacement strut for the drivers side, and two 16" tires to replace the temporary 15" ten holes, I'll see how its driving then.  I'm not too hopefull though, as the body gaps between the hood, fenders and doors are totally messed up, and the car pulls left and right when ever it wants, although that could be just an alignment.
In 18 months when the van's paid off, I'll be looking for a replacement.
I better never catch up with the idiots that did this though.

Pulling to the left and right intermittently may be a bent tie rod, or something to do with the steering is bad. Bet something is out of alignment, at the very least.

That's plumb nuts that he got roughed up, or whatever may have happened. Could've been a LOT worse than just the car getting damaged...cars can be replaced or rebuilt. People are a little more fragile. If you ever do meet up with the worthless turds that did it, give 'em a kick in the nuts from me! :punchballs:
