urethane welding Reply #3 – August 08, 2008, 08:38:49 AM Sometimes body shops have the equipment.I know my paint guy had to do a little repair on my bumper covers when I had it painted.I'm sure you could find a kit to do it yourself (that's a cheaper option than the Eastwood kit) depending on how much you need to repair. urethane welding Reply #4 – August 08, 2008, 03:50:18 PM NAPA sells the urethane bumper repair kit. It comes in a squeeze tube. I don't remember what we paid for it but used it once and it worked like a dream. You couldn't tell the difference between original bumper and repair when it was done. Hope that helps. Quote Selected

Ballpark, I want 15-20 linear feet of bumper cover material welded. It would be nice to find some place local to me so that big pieces of bird don't have to be shipped all over the place. So far though, I haven't had any luck finding a local body shop that can do it. Quote Selected
urethane welding Reply #6 – August 08, 2008, 08:06:12 PM Where is West Fork/Trinity River? What state are you in? If you are close enough I can do it for you/show you how to do it. Then you will be armed for the challenge next time around. Quote Selected

urethane welding Reply #10 – August 09, 2008, 05:32:03 AM Well that figures. Thats usually how things work out. The only other thing that I can think of in order for me to help at this point is either I get a bumper cover and materials and you tell me what you want done and I will do it then you cover price on cover materials and shipping or you send me bumper cover and pay for materials and return shipping. That is the best I can come up with. If you were closer(read same time zone) I would offer to either have you come to me or I would travel to you. If this even remotely sounds doable to you let me know and I will get you a price on materials needed. I won't charge you for anything more than materials/shipping. I know what it is like when you want to customize something and the labor end just kills you. Let me know what you think. Quote Selected
urethane welding Reply #11 – August 09, 2008, 05:38:15 AM I just looked at your linky on Texas. I didn't realize that that was the river that ran through Fort Worth. I was in Fort worth for a few weeks during my time in the Army. I guess I wasn't really there long enough to learn about the area though. I may have also forgotten that that is what it was called. It has been about 12 years since I was there. Quote Selected
