Dude, with your inexperience i don't know if i'd atempt it.
You may get it out, but getting it back in with the car on stands is no picnic and can be dangerous if you don't know what your doing.
Now i'm a liscensed tech and on a hoist with all my air tools/etc it takes me around 40-45 mins to remove it,then around  1- 1 1/2hours to get it back in so not sure where blackjack gets under 2 hours???
Anyways,if you really rely on the car i may just be inclined to pay someone a few hundred dollars to swap it out for ya,you don't want to get it out then not be able to reinstall it.
As they say removals the easy part, lining it up afterwords is kind of a pain in the a**.

im going to see if my uncle will come up and help me. he knows what he is doing. It sounds easy but like you said inexperience can cause alot of problems

I DONT WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF! and a good title gets more attention which in return gets more ideas/ answers.

Misleading thread titles...that's kewl.

Wrong subforum too.

Remember everyone, building webs...err, following rules is for suckas!

how was it misleading in the fact that i dont want to get ripped off. and it started off as just a question for me to see what i was looking at on prices for a tranny swap. so it really wasn't in the wrong section. If some one feels the need to move this then do so but now it is a total different thread then what it was when i started it.

The thread title is missing a few important words to get that point across. Presumably "I", "want", and "to".
