Suspension/Steering / Coil Over question
The internet is a social place but also a repository of information.  Therefore go to the search function linked at the top of every page and type in "coilovers" and/or "coil overs", etc.  and search.  You will find lots of information.  Then let us know what you still don't understand.  It would be good to search the web for general information about coilovers and perhaps to venture over to NATO (http://www.natomessageboard.com) where you can do a search for information on coilovers on a FTC.  Joe Cool has a writeup about using coilovers with Bilstein struts on the front of his Turbocoupe.

Suspension/Steering / hydroboost unit questions
It's not hydroboost, it's an ABS master cylinder basically.  Hydroboost is the hydraulic-hydraulic booster system used on Cobras.  The TC system is electric-hydraulic.

Suspension/Steering / IRS in a fox bird???? test fit pics
The Cobras used vented rotors but the same calipers, with a thinner brake pad to take up the difference in the rotor thickness.  The standard rotor on an SN95 is solid, unvented.    They'd be a big step backwards, but that's not a problem because all you have to do is get the right rotors and matching pads.  Everything I've ever seen says the calipers are the same.

Lounge / after 3 years at sonic i got fired for eating a 1/2 price burger on burger night
More than anything I'm annoyed by people not using their real names or not putting their real names in their signature at the very least.  I have no idea who Carpimp is, even though I've seen pre-Carpimp Fila.  If I can associate with a person's real name then I can have more respect for them, like Carpimp here, whoever he may be in real life, he doesn't seem that bad.  He at least puts up with a lot of  so I guess he likes it here.

I would suggest not using bike lock-up cables/chains, considering I had a bike stolen just by someone yanking on it and snapping the lock pin.  I surely wouldn't trust it to hold the spring.  As long as the control arm has been lowered down properly, it doesn't have any dangerous amount of force left in it.  A real chain and bolt/padlock would still be a great idea though.

Suspension/Steering / 245/50/16 tires
They typically fit fine, I ran them, but I won't do it again because being more concerned with handling, I now know that a 245 is a bit wide for a 7" wide wheel and gives more sidewall flex.

What's the big deal?  If they don't ship it then do a chargeback, but you have to allow enough time and you haven't.  Some places are slow and that's just life, if you actually have to have it right away then you should've talked to them on the phone, otherwise you wait 3-4 weeks and if you still have no indication that it's shipped then you should probably do a chargeback and tell them to get a life.  Only M-F count for business days, I don't care if they're open on Saturday, they aren't going to do squat on Saturday most likely.  It says right in the email that they DID charge you at that point but DID NOT ship yet.  If you've tried emailing and calling repeatedly during the right business hours (time zones accounted for if they're pretty far away) then you'll have to decide if you want to deal with them or not.  The chargeback is probably an option as long as there's no proof of them shipping anything, but I'd really try to get a hold of them and explain.

No point in getting upset about info you learned after placing your order, that was your error for not researching the vendor, now you have to give them a fair chance and then tough out dealing with any difficulties.  You always have a way out but it hasn't been long enough yet to say.  Some places might be terrible at communicating but that doesn't mean they won't ship stuff out within a couple weeks.  You'll just have to wait and see.

User Rides / My Sorta New 1988 T-Bird many mods just added TC wheel and Cobra Rs

Sorry i got Pics of one and added the Mustang picture because it just looks nice.

That's just rice.  There's no other way of putting it.  The Saleen wing on the T-Bird is also questionable at best.  It could work with the right body color, quite a bit of lowering and the right wheels.  Other than having some really professional aero parts made for the car, there is very little available for a T-Bird that will make it look better, just the right wheels, which yours seems to have.  Most "visual mods" just look tacky, the market just isn't there for some nice aesthetic parts to be made.  Those wheels look better than most on that car.  It's always better to take the modest route on visual modifications unless you have the eye of a design student.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / 4bangen no more?
Hehe, there's anything you want.  You can get a puck clutch that will grab like there's no tomorrow but it'll be harder to drive, clutchnet.com, the more pucks the smoother it will be and the less power handling, less pucks means more power handling, grabbier engagement.  A six puck would probably be driveable with an iron flywheel but not with aluminum, I have one with aluminum and it's a pain to take off but I'm cool with that.  For something that drives completely like stock clutchnet and spec make composite friction materials for discs.  A stock PP would probably be fine for you if you run an aggressive disc.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / 4bangen no more?
I suppose it depends on the RPM you plan on turning, I like a lot :D.  You know where to look for the 2.3 recipes, on Turboford, porting and big valves with the right turbo should be the main ingredients.  Wes Kiser turned numbers around that with what seemed to be a fairly straightforward setup, of course he's an engineer by trade I think :D.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / 4bangen no more?
1. Obtain Mark VIII 4.6 DOHC
2. Install forged pistons and rods, maybe oil pump gears, nothing else, parts cost around 1500 total probably
3. Twin turbo
4. 600 HP at 15 psi
5. ???
6. Profit

If going with a Windsor series and you want 600 HP one day, just forget the 302 based and go with a 351 block.  From what I know the 347, although better than early iterations, still uses a tight ring pack and the pin intersects the oil ring, short piston to get any decent rod length, etc.  A 331 would still be less risky I think.

If you really just want 400 hp, that's already been proven by many with the 2.3, doesn't take a lot of drama to get there, just lots of boost and a good tune.  That compared with a 400 HP V8 is certainly a different animal though, but either one will go fast and if the 2.3 pops it's cheap to fix and replace.

It would be absurd to put some other (non-bolt-in) engine in there unless you like spending big bucks (or lots of time) just to be different, custom engine mounts and transmission setup.
