Ok, that makes it a parking light problem. Look at them closely to see if one is dimmer than the rest. When you check the bulbs, make sure they are all the same part number.
Thanks. I'll check that out. Although they all look sort of dim. Maybe I'll just replace all of them and save myself the hassle of trying to decide which one is dimmer than the other lol.
Yes, it is the light on the system sentry. I disconnected the negative battery cable for about 10 mins and reconnected but its still on. It only comes on when the key is in the "on" position with the lights on. I'm gonna check the bulbs when I have more time but everything is working.
My rear lamp indicator light came on tonight. I checked all the lights and they seem fine. Is there something that triggered this? Is there something I can do to turn this light off without disconnecting the warning light? Like I said, everything works even the reverse and plate lights. Don't know why this warning light is on. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Nope. Bone stock. I actually paid a little more attention to the noise and it doesn't seem to be a hissing noise like I first thought. It sounds more rattling noise. It only makes the noise between shifts (usually 1st - 3rd gear) and when I let off the throttle (again, usally only in gears 1-3). Someone mentioned to me that the wastegate might need repaired but he wasn't sure either. I can't find anything loose on the car.
I know what you mean about the black wheels being iffy. I actually like black wheels but sometimes they just dont look good. I figured the black wheels might blend in with the TC's black molding. I'm gonna have to take a better pic of the car and photoshop the wheels black. I was hoping I could see some actual pics of other cars first. Plus, I would rather paint the wheels than polish them. lol!!
Has anyone here painted their Snowflakes black? If so, I would like to see pics. Mine are in rough shape and I thought about painting them black and polishing the center. Any thoughts??
I was wondering if you guys could help me. My '88 TC makes a horrid hissing noise between shifts (5spd) and when letting of the throttle (typically in the lower gears 1-3). Is this a wastegate problem? The TC tends to miss when boost is full until I get off the throttle and get back in it. Then it runs great. I'm new to the turbo world so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Will rear shocks off a '92 Mustang 5.0 work on my '88 Turbo Coupe? The TC needs rear shocks and I have a good set from a 92 Mustang. They should bolt right in to the TC but I'm starting to think the TC's have different rear shocks than Mustangs. I really don't want to waste money on new shocks if these actually fit. Any suggestions?
Thanks everyone. I will try and take some pics this weekend after I clean it up a bit. It's supposed to be nice in my area this weekend so I will try and get some good pics.
Hey everybody. I just joined this forum and thought I'd share a pic of my newly purchased '88 Turbo Coupe. I picked it up a week ago for only $800. It's a 5spd with almost every option except equalizer and sunroof and only has 88k miles on the clock. It was running rough when I bought it so I bought plugs and wires (PO installed new cap and rotor) and now she runs like a champ. The clutch does slip and I hope to get that replaced in the next couple of weeks. Here's a pic of her. I hope to get more pics by the weekend.
