Drivetrain Tech / Front 5 lug disk question
Will this disk work for a V8 1987 Cougar XR7 or can you suggest a better route?
I want to change as little hardware as possible and still be able to use old school chrome rims. I'm currently using 15x7 Chrome blade rims. Mine are Cragar, but they don't sell them anymore.

Suspension/Steering / Rims won't fit over caliper, need advice
I'm just going to make it look good for my son. I know the look I am trying to get because I used to have it with my Cougar. Plus now he'll have a great rear and a decent front. He will also have a lot more rim choices when he's old enough to buy his own rims. I will hold onto the PBR's in case he does eventually move up to a larger rim.

Those ARE the stock calipers. You should probably have done more research.
Thanks for the quick reply, but I think the PBR dual piston calipers are stock on the '99-up Mustangs only (V6 and V8). The '98 and older still used the old single piston set up. I've read hundreds of posts about the 5 lug conversion and, as with many things on the internet, some people say 15 inch rims will fit and some say they won't. If you click the link I posted above even the guys at MPSAutosalvage, who specialize in mustang parts, say that a 15 inch rim will fit over these. When I went to Summit Racing and asked for Cragar Super spoke rims for a 95 mustang the guy that sold them to me said they would fit. I was just curious if the single piston caliper was a bit smaller and might give me a bit more wiggle room.

This 5 lug conversion is starting to become stressful and expensive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Body/Appearance/Interior / Rims - 15x8 or 15x7 best one?
Going to go with Cragar Super Spoke rims and solid raised white letter tires.
Does anyone have a wheel setup like this? Also interested in what you went with for backspacing and tire size. I'm not good with car stuff so I may keep asking dumb questions, but I'm learning more and more as I go.

Drivetrain Tech / Need information to replace rear diff
What I know: The tag on the diff housing is hard to read, but it's model V493B which as far as I can tell is a 2.73 Ratio with a 7.5 Gear Ring 28 spline (NL). I'm guessing the NL means Not limited slip? It has the 2 regular shocks then the 2 smaller stabilizer shocks.
What should I look for as an exact fit replacement? What's easiest to find? I'm willing to replace the entire rear or just the axle shafts. I just want to make sure I get the right parts so I can get this car looking/running good for my son. Any help is greatly appreciated.
