Kafer, how are you doing? I haven't been on here in a while, read this thread last night. Was thinking about you all day. How are you doing? Ive only been married 9 years, so far so good. But my parents were 25 years before divorce, there both happier now. There is hope after divorce. Pops and Mom are both doing fine. Stay strong man. My dad has a saying, when life gets tough you push on, once in a while look up and make sure you going in the right direction, but push on, don't ever give up. Good Luck man, if you need any advice Ill get you some numbers of guys your age (uncle and pops) that have been down the road your on and made it too the end happily.
Tom, you have any ideas how many 4l60 pans I see that are leaking because the pans bolt holes are whooped from being over tightened once....... Great advice you gave him.
25 bucks is a steal, my pal that lives next door and owns the machine shop Im always talking about....... he has his pops old box at his house. It looks very similar to that one. All skinny draws.
96 is obdII, Id hook it up to my scan tool and see what the desired iac count is compared to actual. And Id also use brake kleen spraying it on the vacuum hoses trying to find the leak. If you have a scan tool read the oxygen sensors, low voltage indicates a lean condition. If your sucking air down stream of the mass air flow sensor the oxygen sensors will read lean and have low voltage. It will usually kick a p0171 and p0174 lean bank one and lean bank two. Good Luck. oh yeah is it a 4.0 sohc or push rod motor????
Happy Birthday Vin, yesterdays was my wifes 31st, or I mean her 29th again. Her sister had the kids for the night, we got to go out and have a good time just the two of us. Had a blast. Hope your day was just as good.
Tom NOBODY in my family is a Automatic guy, but Pops had a 67 GTA that they pulled the 390 out and put a 428scj in. He said that no matter what he did to that car the C6 NEVER hiccuped, sneezed or coughed.
Tom, The north east GM training center is in Ardsley NY. I gotta go down there probably 5 times a year. I ran into a fella from Danbury Chevrolet. He says there doors have heated blow driers mounted above them so it cleans the car off when you pull into the shop. Is that true??? We just built a LARGE new Garage, we call it the Garage-ma-hall. But we DON'T have freaking driers for rainy days. That would be sick. I work at Healey BTW, the one in Middletown not Poughkeepsie.
Stacks, Ill give in that they probably flow better than cast iron manifolds, but for how cheap you can get used headers on the net....... Id really not bother. Shoot, new headers aren't that much to begin with either.
