I am working on my '86 GT Mustang. I'm trying to rewire the whole car. I am almost ready to fire here up,but not sure how to wire up my Clutch Interlock Switch (manual trans.) I have two Red w/Blue wires coming off the top of Switch. On the bottom there is a Grey w/Yellow wire next to a Black w/White wire. My aftermarket wiring kit, just has a single wire for the Neutral Safetey Switch coming from the Fuse Box. Any Help is Appricated!!! Thanks All!!
O.K. I ran into a snag. I need to see a Head Light Switch Diagram for my 1986 Mustang GT. Cann't seem to find one anywhere. What does #3 and #11 on the turn signal diagram go to? Also, where does the small gauged wire from the key cylinder go to? I made some really good progress today wiring. Once I can figure this out,I can install my dash cluster. Then all I have left is the Head-Light Harness and the Tail Light Harness to install.
I have the Aerospace front Disc Brakes w/Vented Rotos on my '86 GT. I bought a Hurst Line Lock to work with my Aerospace Manual Brake M/C. It has several ports. I used the top port from M/C,then I used front port for the passenger front brakes. The port on the right was used for the driver's side front brakes. Also added the brake switch to the port on the left. Off the front port (rear brakes) of my M/C has a 10lbs. Residual Press. Valve for the Drum Brakes as per their instructions. I was told Not to use a Adjustable Portportion Valve for the rear drum brakes. But I did install one that was Adjusted to All Open (no press) for future Rear Disc Install. Pics are in my photo Bucket. http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c244/racerxmd/?albumsview=slideshow
O.K Thanks! Forgot to let you know, I have remove the heating system on my car. Also, I still have the Power Doors w/locks & windows. It's a "Want-A-Be Racer"!! LOL But ,how do I connect the large gauged wires together? Can I find a but connector big enough to join them? And last? Since your were able to figure this out soooooo fast. Can you break down the other two harnesses on my column? I think they have the turn signals in them? One harness is near the top of the column, and the other is towards the bottom on the driver's side. Thanks once again. You "Rock"!!!!
Hello.all. Glad I could join your site. Alittle about me and my Project. I'm a carpenter by trade and have always enjoyed working on cars. I currently have a '86 Gt Mustang. My car has a new 351 Windsor that is stroked to 427. My motor made 612/584 on the dyno at Ford performance Solutions. Could of made a little more but they only ran it up to 6K! The dyno operator thought it had a hydraulic roller cam. Instead ,I had a costom solid roller installed.I have a Tremec TKO connected to a 8.8 w/33-spline c-clip axles and a Auburn Traction Lock,Aerospace front brakes w/manual M/C,QA-1 K-Member w/Coil-Overs,my frame is tied with frame connectors and had the torque -boxes reinforced, car has a 8-point Molly Cage etc. Here are some pics for you: http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c244/racerxmd/?albumsview=slideshow
