Jcassity ya when i move the switch to vent floor mix and defrost it wont change where the air is coming from, stays on defrost the whole time. i'll look at that canister and line first, then go from there, thank you all for the help.

88 turbo.... are you serious? would you do that? thanks. only problem is i work 2nd shift as a production manager and i have a little "meeting" tomorrow and have to be at work around 2:30 i'll PM my phone # definatly give me a call, i might be able to get some time free.

also cowboyx where would i get a good vacuum diagram for these cars?

and ya guys (and gals?) i figured it was i broke something or missed a cracked line as old and brittle as these lines are. any tipson how to locate a vacuum leak? one time thought i read about using a propane bottle torch (not lit of course) and run it around all the vacuum lines, supposedly it is supposed to cause your idle to rise? not sure if this would work if the leak is in the HVAC system...... also, with this vacuum leak why am i not experiencing any driveability problems? hmm oh well, just more work i guess, good thing i enjoy it huh... :)

okay so i replaced my heater core, wow that sucked. and now i am getting a hissing sound from behind my dash by the glove box... vacuum leak? i know that i put all the lines back on and didn't break any also when i tip into the throttle the hissing stops.... any ideas? oh ya it's an 87 turbo coupe. automatic
