86 Cougar LS 302/AOD For sale August 23, 2006, 11:07:05 PM Hey guys, it is a sad day, but I have too may cars in the driveway and I dont have enough money to do what I want with this car. I bought it back in '04 and put about 30K on the odometer. It now has approx 72K on it. The motor is a stock 5.0L. I have installed Mustang headers, a BBK cold air intake kit, BBK X-pipe, Flowmaster exhaust with 50 series lers. The car has new shocks, struts, brake pads and shoes. I installed a Panasonic CD player with Infiniti component speakers in the doors. I never got around to replacing the py installation of the Rockford Fosgate 5x7's in the deck. Also forgot to add that it has a new Ford heater core, fuel tank sending unit, and fuel pump. Thats all the good news. The bad news:The car has a some rust. Very minor spots along the doors and quarters. The paint is oxidized. Because of the installation of the aftermarket exhaust, the column shifter binds pretty badly-plus you cant see what gear youre in. You just have to "feel" it. I will try to fix that before it is sold. The oil pressure gage used to beep at me randomly, so I deactivated that system. I know it wasnt because of a loss of oil pressure, more likely the resistor that is attached to the sending unit. The motor burns about a quart of oil a month. Typical for this type of motor so I have heard. Tranny shifts well enough. This is a relatively "unmolested" car, and I would like someone from this board to have first crack at it, because I know you guys, and gals, can appreciate a car like this. No shipping, you have to come get it yourself. I live in Montgomery, Illinois. I am asking $1000. I haev full resolution photos for anyone that is interested. Quote Selected
