Any time it's between 50* and 84* the windows are down. If not all the way down but down. 85* and up the a/c is on. Now if I have to wear a suit or something for a weading the a/c is on so I don't get all full of sweet before I dance:hick: . Besides with the windows down I can enjoy the burble of the exhaust:D . Oh and if anyone's interested a 5.0 can spin the tires from a stop with the a/c on. Don't ask why I know;)

If I'm in the Bird it's windows down. NEVER had a bird with A/C and don't plan on it. If I'm in the Focus/Accord it really depends on who's in the car. Since my son can't ride in the front of those cars b/c of airbags I have to run the A/C if it's too hot out. And since he's in the back he gets a face full of wind, lol. Personally I hate A/C, it dries out my skin and I feel like a cardboard box all day.

i love to drive with the windows down. and sometimes if it's to hot in the car and the wind isnt enough. i'll turn the ac on and keep the windows down. i do that in the work truck all the time for when i catch a light.

but if im so hot and need to cool off for a min or 2 windows up. unless rain they stay up till i slow down or it slows down. but on them real humid days A/c

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Screw AC. My Cougar has no AC. And with the Escape, it is much cooler and more gas effecient to ride with the windows down, and the subs blaring. Hey it even gets me stares outside the fact that I drive a Yellow SUV. Unless I'm sweating and parched of thirst, I turn it off.

You will not see me drivig with the windows all the way up ever.  The fumes from the exhaust leak make me sick.  If it's cold out, heat is on.  Too hot out, a/c is blasting (when it works), but the windows always gotta be cracked at least.

I hate A/C for that reason exactly. I have noticed that for along time now. Everyone and there brother has there windows up with the A/C on in the summer. Hell even when its kinda cold out I still have my windows all the way down and just turn the floor heat on and it always keeps it comfortable for a great cruise...When its colder than shiznit out my heats on but the window is still open a good 2-3 inches....

Guess I'm kinda in the minority here then - I spent close to $600 fixing the A/C in my car when I first got it (all new lines & hoses, new receiver/dryer, new condenser) and will likely spend another $300 this year or next (new compressor - the current one is getting noisey). I will never again have a DD without A/C. Winter or woods beaters don't need it, but the DD gotta be refrigerated

I never had working A/C in the Cougar nor did I see a reason for it. 2 windows, moonroof opened, it was great, except in heavy downpours.

Now I have the Tib as my daily and I must say that it is nice to have the option to turn the A/C on. It's nice not to have my shirt stick to my sweaty back which always happend on really hot days on the Cougar's leather seats. If I'm outside all day in the heat, it's nice to have the A/C to cool me off on the ride home. I have my windows down most of the time though. Especially if the car is clean (Don't ask me why).

i run windows down on my way to work when its nice and cool outside and windows up after working in a shop in 90* or hotter weather all day. i ran windows down quite a bit more b4 my passenger side stopped working again. i also run windows down a couple inches in the winter because the slight cold brease is nice. in my truck i run windows down rear window open and foot vents open. ac is a car thing.

I like my a/c..........  no choking on exhaust in rush hour ride, or listening to every pinheads way to loud stereo and  exhaust for me.  I franky think  the stench of the boston rush hour fumes would make anyone roll the windows up.

My car has an open wastegate dump so I need the windows down when boosting, plus I need to listen for detonation when boosting.  I have no A/C, so unless it's too cold the windows are down, and even then I roll them down some when necessary.  I like being in touch with everything around me, I like being able to hear when a car is near me, and my car is louder than most anyone's stereo or their exhaust, and I like to hear my exhaust, so there's another reason.  My A/C was leaking down so I ditched it over a year ago, and I don't really miss it.
