Agreed. But remember we've had a couple people join our board here that bought their cars as winter beaters.
I think we've swayed them on that though.

I'm with Paul, I think it's definitely time to get in a mag Hawk.

Yeah thats pretty sad...and ignorant. I drove my car in the winter before "retiring" it but it killed me every time snow flew and the salt trucks came out. I cant tell you how many times I froze my a$$ off on cold days washing the salt off my baby. The thought of someone intentionally ruining a TC for a winter beater really me off. Typical Mustang owner attitude though I guess. A lot of my friends question my sanity for dumping so much cash into my car but it makes sense to me. Guess thats why I like this forum so much, we definately arent the mainstream

I was thinking of buying a 'Stang for a track only beater. Why would I want to drive such an uncomfortable car otherwise?

If i find one for cheap I will. :D Actually, a Stang makes a perfect beater. Parts are cheap and it's easy to work on.

The guy that started that thread is a member of SuperchargerHelp.com....I actually spoke to him via PM as he was asking about the wheels.

Since I've been getting a lot of push and support on this one I'm going to put a few info/picture packages together to send out to some magazines in the near future and we'll see what (if anything) transpires.

On a side note...my buddy is currently driving a 1988 TC for a winter car. He inherited it after his brother passed on. The condition of the body does not warrant keeping it for a show car. In other words, it's good for what he's doing and that's about it. The good news is that he only drives a few miles each way to work.

No matter what you do, you can't save them all, and you can't force others to save them either. A car is, to some people, simply a car, period. In a perfect world we'd all have our cars for the summer and snowplows for the winter.
