We are all dumber from reading this.  I feel stupid now.

Oh in response to your being 14 and not being able to spell, when I was 14 I could type 80 words a minute and not misspell one.

You dont need a transmission, you need a clutch.

Okay, Here.  http://natomessageboard.com/ultimatebb.php

Everything you need to know about TCs.  This is a good board as well, but Nato is turbo coupe specific.  You need to use the search function as much as possible over there, and then ask the question if you cant get the answer that way.  All of the topics you have mentioned have been beaten to death over there, so i doubt your questions will go unanswered.  And.....Welcome to the board....and I have to agree, you cant spell shiznit LOL.  Seems like we have our very own Brian over here now LOL

he only got 360hp from a 351W? seems very low for what they are capable of, unless a bunch of stock parts were used. Could of got that out of the 302 and not have had to worry about alot of shiznit.

but I 4th or 5th the not needing that much power for a new driver...easy way to become a statistic.

I agree with everyone else. You should not have that much power as a beginner.
I got my car when I was 16 and I heard things that I shouldn't have had a V8 with power, if you want to call 155HP a powerful V8. I managed just fine and never raced anyone either. To go through the expense of building up your car just so you can race your friend is a stupid idea.

Do yourself a favor bud, stay in school, take some typing classes and learn sentence structure. Get your car together and enjoy it. If you go the route of 350HP, don't come here crying when you wrap it around a tree.

I dont know about you guys, but i learned to drive in higher powered vehicles, and i havnt been in a single accident. Hell, i was also able to find trouble in my 3.8L car.

The car doesnt make the difference, its the person driving.

I agree with that statement 110%.
You can get in trouble in any car if you're not careful, hell even sometimes when you are careful you can find trouble.

He wants a high powered car for the purpose of racing though.
If my son wanted a high powered car so he could race anything including a moron at school, he wouldn't get it.

Sorry, I just get the impression that he's coming on here like
"yo wat up, I wat teh fastest car ta kill my buddies sho"

Considering he hasn't even driven the car stock yet, I think it's a bad idea.
I was driving for 4 months (fully licensed) before I got my Cougar. I had nothing to drive but my mom's 4-door Malibu. I proved my responsibility before I got the car.

I'm not saying he is or isn't responsible since I don't even know him. It's just his presentation that raises a flag for me.

Yeah I agree...you can get into trouble in any vehicle. I managed to find plenty in my 88 hp Mustang. A higher powered vehicle just helps you get into trouble that much quicker, and hurt yourself worse in the process. Young males don't use good judgment, I know that from experience

I know that firsthand too -

My first running car was a dog but that didnt stop me from getting tickets, burning the tires bald and eventually slamming into two trucks.  Actually, It being so slow just made drive the balls out of it, as hard as I could, all the time.  I eventually learned but it was a pretty hard road.

i know i can't spell i suck at typing on this stupid computer, adn i don't want the fasteest car in the world, plus did i say i was gonna street race him hell no we are doing it heads up at the drag strip. and i know i don't need gobs of power but shiznit i wanna be able to floor it from a stop and broil the shiznit out the tires when i wanna and still be able to drive it and also, the 351w is stock except for a mild luinati cam, and it was balenced and blueprinted. but as far as the stang goes, the 351w my dad is getting it bored out to a 408 and a paxton novi 1200 supercharger. the scrats goona be a strip car, and a play toy. i know i did need alot but hes giveing me the car what am i supose to do say no? hell no then id end up in like what my bros got a 95 escort, which will barly light up ONE tire lol. and shiznit im not a moron i love my cars, and wouldn't do nothing liek street race or anythat shiznit, cause then ur just asking to get in a wreak or kill urself. which i don't want to do. i slowed down so i think my spelling should be better in this one
