I am new (here are some pics) Reply #17 – November 15, 2005, 12:16:17 PM an AOD is practically a bolt-in minus all the little things. it'll handle some abuse if you build it right. :) Quote Selected

Me personally i would stick witht he C4, but then again im ot looking as saving anything on gas bills and would like a 3 speed. You are going to have to lengthen you drive shat though i think the AoD is "shorter" than the C4 not positive though just what tranny shops have told me.. Quote Selected
I am new (here are some pics) Reply #19 – November 15, 2005, 03:02:13 PM they should be the same length. As far as I know the should bolt right in.Also, converting over to EFI sounds like fun. If you do it you know where to turn for help :) Quote Selected
I am new (here are some pics) Reply #20 – November 15, 2005, 03:23:36 PM C4 is slightly shorter...I believe you can reuse your AOD driveshaft. You will also need to move your trans crossmember forward. Quote Selected
I am new (here are some pics) Reply #21 – November 16, 2005, 09:34:00 AM depends, are you using the driveshaft that originally came with the car, if so, no probs, that is made for an AOD already, if not, should still be okay but check how much of the input shaft is out side of the trans, that should give you an idea of how much room you have to play with.
