Impound Reply #15 – November 08, 2005, 09:56:09 PM Broken down into months, I pay approx $97 for my Bird, the Lightning, and wifes Grand Marquis. No collision on the Bird(hey I have 2 more), but the others have full coverage. The old Cobra Jet is on a collector policy that is $210 a year... or $17.50 a month Quote Selected

Impound Reply #17 – November 09, 2005, 12:55:58 AM I pay 430$/year beause i had a DUI of Alcohol in year 2000.Otherless it should be under 200$ (Canadian) a year...Here in quebec Laws are diff than the rest of canada i think...When we get caught, the car is automaticly impounded for one month after you get arrested. To get the car, you have to pay 1 month impound at 15$ a day. After you receive judgment for Drunk Driving (Like i did like an idiot), we loose our permit for a year (Or 3 month with a Breathalizer connected to your car for the next 9 month) Quote Selected

Was your T-Bird originally bought there (as in, did Ford export them officially?) If so, what are the Kuwaiti specs for the car? I know there were some differences between Canadian, Mexican and American models, it would be interesting to see what the overseas models were like (if they existed) Quote Selected
Impound Reply #21 – November 11, 2005, 03:49:19 PM yeah ford brought them in officially..of the Birds ive seen around here they all came with floor shifters, mine included..and none had any catalyc converters or resonators from the factory which surprised me..but there is a smog pump..question u guys..what is the actual weight of an 87 Thunderbird? here the weight put in the registration is rarely accurate..on my registration it says 4460 lbs and i dont buy that..
