umm.. ranger rotors?

i saw somewhere on here, that you can use ranger rotors to pull off a 5 lug swap? i imagine it's for the non-tc's, but what year rangers? i have a couple pairs from 94-ish rangers sitting in the trunk of my car.. i'd rather sell them here if someone needs them, instead of tossing them in the s pile

You have to use the spindles for the 10" front rotors (non-TC Birds, 79-86 Fox Mustangs, 87-93 cylinder Fox Mustangs).  The years of Ranger rotors for this swap are 83-92.  From what I can tell you use the Mustang inner seal, Mustang bearings, and the Ranger Dust cap as the Mustang one is too small.

I might pick up a set of ranger rotors and axles for the Stanger....for much later on. Saves the hassle of swapping in SN95 stuff..it's a 2.3 car, so I have the spindles I need already.

Hmm, I'll add this into my (not so) little black book of Fox swap info I've been compiling.
(At some point, probably this coming winter when I have more free time again, I plan to type it all up, find a host for it, link it here and get feedback, comments, edits and such, and eventually compile it into a PDF file and hopefully have it easily found here.
It'll be more for what popular mods are, sources, and some very slight how-to.)

that would certainly help people like me.. lol i've been looking for 100 different ways to do 5 lug swaps.. but i think my black and soon to be black cars will both just end up with full SN95  up front

Yeah, hard to argue with the ability to upgrade to Cobra stuff later on down the road. That and the Mark 7 rotors won't work with the wheels I eventually wish to have...lol

i'm actually tossing my mark rotors now.. i found 3 SN95's for a front end upgrade.. now i just have to drive to elkton, maryland.. also going to pull all the axles i can get my hands on (5 94-98's there, only 3 with the front spindles and parts).. might grab a housing from my local junkyard (MUCH cheaper there, someone beat me to the axles, though :( ) for the S10, because it has the control arm mounts.. which i can use for a 4 link.. i cheat.. lol

i know about car-part.com.. the yards i frequent don't list anything, though, because they're all u-pull-it's and don't really keep inventory.. they basically just dump cars in their designated area and forget that it's even there, until it's time for it to visit mr crusher in the back of the yard lol

I found my SN95 96+ spindles on there for $35 a set already pulled so it worked better for me so I could spend more time working on my car rather then driving across Houston to the closest u-pull-it location.  In that aspect I sure picked the wrong location to buy a house...

not bad, i pay $22 each for spindles.. if i take my old spindles, they knocks 3 bucks off for a 'core' lol.. the yard in MD is only an hour and a half away and i have to go there to pull other things i can't find anywhere else, so it's definitely going to be worth the trip.. they have a capri, too :)
