Somebody try that ^^^^ and see if it works.

It wasn't full throttle, but just a quick clip so you could hear it.

Sounds great. A stick is fun but sure a PITA when synchros are bad or the clutch is messed up in whatever way...I'm really aggravated about the silver car. There's part of the back of the dash right against the firewall there, I feel like to weld it without melting things or starting a fire the dash must be pulled. I don't know what I'll do with that or the new black cat. One of them I might swap an AOD in one of them. It was always just sooooo much easier to do what you just did with the red car LOL. At least no matter what happens aft of it, the 302 always sounds great!!!

Don't pull the dash....just pull it back a few inches. takes about 15 minutes if you take your time.

Really. Any really hidden or tricky fasteners to watch out for it? Documented to any extent on here that I could search for?

on the CoolCats site. The tricky one, which isn't really tricky, is the one right above the column. There's a 10mm nut. Green if I remember right. You will have to drop the column...no big deal, 3 screws across the top of the dash, behind each kick panel, there are mounting tabs for the dash, and there's one bolt on each side, and a stiffening bar under the glove box area (in that area somewhere.). Just enough to loosen to pull the dash back a little bit.

Thanks. Still have a lot of work to do on the old girl. Too busy this week. Once the new job starts, I'll be off 4 days a week, so I'll start getting some things done.

It's looking like they're going to start a weekend shift were I work. 3 12s but it'll be friday, saturday, and sunday. If it was during the week I'd be all for it. I like my weekends off. We'll be working 4 10s with the weekend off so I'll take it.

Every day is the same to me. I can actually got more done being off during the week because everything is open later and more accessible to me. Salvage yards here are closed Sunday, and close at noon on Saturday. Seems like they would want to be open, but that's the way it is. In the end, I'll work the schedule they give me. For now.. LOL.

I agree with your reasons but for me I'm stuck with steady afternoon shift and my wife works day shift, So the only time I see her is on the weekend. If I would work the weekend shift I'd see her for a few hours a day but I wouldn't have a full day with her. It's hard enough having to wait for the weekend to actually spend time with her. Plus weekends are when everything goes on like car shows and stuff.
