Thanks again, everyone.  These Celicas can be tuned to be track monsters.  They are short, can have gobs of HP and torque, and are very easy to work on. What I'll do is post the specs on the chassis and motor.

As for the fender trim - they are screwed in to the fender.  About 4 screws hold them in with a little rubber insert.

Three Skylines have been wrecked already this spring in Edmonton, because the driver is on the 'wrong' side of the car.

Speaking of which, I  saw a Imported Nissan 300zx  I had to blink twich to find out it was not the girl driving the car, but the guy who was in that car.  I breifly talked to the guy at the gas station saying he was a importer, and he was taking the ZX to a looker for about +$20k

as back to celica talk, I'm not sure but can you just de-chrome those fenders instead? since it's screwed on.

Also, But I can't remember, sombody put a ford V6 in one of these lil  celicas.

This era of Celica had everything from the stock 20R to a Ford 427 under the hood.  Anything is possible.

The chrome things come right off, but I haven't had the time to remove them.  I'm too busy repainting a bunch of stuff.

The 76-77 GT Coupe specs:

Wheelbase: 98.3 inches
Length: 174.6 inches
Width: 63.8 inches
Hight: 51 inches
Weight: 2,580 pounds

Not a bad place to start making a S.V.R.A. car out of.

I got rid of the chrome fender flares, the chopped rear coil springs, and I'm doing a complete tune up this weekend consisting of new spark plugs, oil and filter, and perhaps some polyurethane bushings.

Will do!  I'll take some pics over the holiday weekend and post them here.  I've painted plenty under the hood - fan shroud, the coil, the throttle linkage, EGR valve, the top of the charcoal canister, and various nuts and bolts.

I've also taken apart the front bumper and treated it for rust and reassembled it.  It was clean to begin with so I was very happy.

The complete poly bushing kit should be in my hands soon so I'll be saying goodbye to every stock rubber piece on the car!
