s197 forum is ridiculous...I couldn't believe some of the stuff I read over there while our site was on hiatus. It was pretty funny though.... a lot of idiots drive Stangs.

You know what they say about arguing on the internet...

I like the Fox Stangs, but I don't see myself buying one. Thunderbirds and Cougars just have a "classy" look and feel that not many cars can emulate. Well, as classy as a 27 year old car can be.

funny thing is that you can have whatever you want. time and money cures all wounds. i have a super duty V-10 w/Banks ram air intake with a k&n filter, Banks chip, Banks Exhaust. according to what I've learned I should be well over 400hp. the diesle guys still stick thier nose up. My truck can pull New York all the way to Seattle no prob. you can get whatever you want. no limits.

I joined after reading the thread because one guy said there is a nice 88 with 45k on the clock near him, which is only an hour from me. I'm interested. I'm hoping he'll get back to me.

Well didn't you know that mustangs are better? Even with 500hp they can run a 13 second quarter mile.

While I realize that the corral always rubs off on people as a bunch of idiots, that guy was only trying to push my buttons. I'm well known for being the lone fox Tbird owning regular there so they always try to bring me outta the woodwork with stuff like that.

I've been over there for a few years now. I don't sweat the petty stuff. If they want to make fun, or say what they will about the Birds and Cougars, that,s fine. It appears that Mustangs are bashed by members here. It's just talk.......nothing more. Don't feed into it and show anger,otherwise,the instigator wins. I commented on the thread over there,but not with anything negative. No sense in it.

To me, it's all in good humor, and joking/teasing. I don't lose sleep over it, and if someone really lets another person's opinion over a car get them mad, then...well...I dunno.

I've learned to shut out a lot of things in my life that aren't worth my anger....it's just another crack in the sidewalk to step over and away from, people's negativity concerning cars, etc.

Well I have put my 2 cents in over there. I never have liked the corral. In fact, the only reason I am still a member is for their classified section.

This whole deal just reminds me that the majority of Mustang owners are single-minded, arrogant jerks. I like cars of all kinds. If you have the passion to fix up and modify a freakin' Yugo, thats great! No way I would start a thread just to bash you and your car of choice.

I read the whole thing and it just makes me shake my head . Why give your opinion of someones car unless asked anyway?

OOohh the guys at the corral don't like fox birds ...I'm going to sell my bird and buy a fox stang to impress some person I wouldn't p*ss on if they were on fire .
