auto lock

Anyone remember the code to set the auto door locks (when put into gear)? :hick:
88 sport,TW heads, comp xe270hr, cobra u/Tmoss ported lower, 65 mm throttle body, under drives,smog delete,
1.7 roller rockers, cai, k&n, bbk adj regulator, 76mm Pro-m,all MSD ign. MSD dist,18° base timing, 3g alt.1 5/8 ceramic headers, 255lph walbro, 2.5" h-pipe, flowmasters, silverfox valvebody, 3.73 gear,

The default setting is on. If it doesn't lock the doors after you shift through reverse then something is wrong. The most common thing I've found is that the connector under the driver's seat sensor comes off. Just hook it back up and it should work again :)

No sir , default is off according to my owners manual , if the battery is disconnected the system has to be turned back on ...... page 132 in the 1988 owners manual

I swear it says the default is on. I've disconnected my battery countless times over the years and I've never had to put in a code to turn the autolock on.

I'm just reading what my manual says

My auto lock is not on in my car and has never been:D

Sure enough my manual says the same thing. My car must be a freak.

Thanks Guys...it works, it was off though because i had to replace my battery.

mine has never had to be turned on ever,, and i to have had the battery unhooked.
