all most last call for blown306cougar tonight

i know meny people on this message fourm for a number of years now. meny i consider friends.

and for the people that don't know much about me.. about 4 years ago i found out that i had gaucher disease.
it's something your born with and i never knew that i had gaucher disease and as far as i knew showed no regular symptoms.which doctors and the medical field was mystified and amazed that it was true.
i found this out over a  routine physical a doctor noticed my platelets where extremely low like 17000 the norm is 140000 to 400000 and that my spleen was like 3to4 times the normal size.. hance the beer belly so after a number of tests and some that was'nt fun at all thats what they found.

now if the drug is'nt mixed right like 14 viles of powder mixed with like 250cc's of saline of some sort. it's not fun bad news! lots of pain!!

i don't know the best way to type and say what happened so i will do the best i can to explain..

i'm finding it hard what and how to type this.....

i now know what it is like to all most DIE.

what i'm about to air out is all true and no drama added..

it all starts back a month ago..

my regular doctor stated that they could'nt give me my infusions on friday's anymore since they would be closing at noon on that day for now on.and asked if i could come in earlyer time like 9:00am.. i could'nt since it would take about 3 1/2 to 4 hours between the prep of the drug and the infusion..
which would mean that i would have to take the whole day off.. and since i have to get an infusion every two weeks that won't work. and the only reason why i was getting the infusion on friday was because the day after the infusion it felt like i never slept a wink even after 8 hours of sleep. and i would be useless the next day at work.and i drive for a living. so that was the reason for friday infusions so i can sleep in late on saturday.

so my doctor worked hard to get me into the hospital so i can still get my late friday afternoon infusion..

well to day was my first day there.

and someone fu@cked up and within 10 minutes into the infusion my whole upper body locked up like i was having a massive heart attack! the pain started full on and my vital signs going haywire and did'nt stop for about 5 minutes.. in the middle of all of this while being flown down to ER at light speed with a bag of saline being pumped into my arm and oxygen being shoved up my nose i was fading in and out of a fog untill i made them let me get up and stretch which was the only was in the past to work it out the only thing was the pain was 100 times worse then i ever experienced. and at one times it was bad enough and i am real good on dealing with pain. anyway had to fight the nurses to let do so and as soon i started working the pain out and said lets go! the nurses insisted that i sit back down to be wheeled to ER i said HELL NO i need to work this out if i sit back down without working it off it will start all over again! so with  like 10 nurses in tow and one holding the saline bag and another holding the oxygen tank i walked down to ER! got hooked up to a heart monitor then a number of tests insued EKG being one of them..

and here i sit to type about my Fu@ked up experience!

it funny how... hmmm funny? not that funny! that you hear stories about things like this happening at a hospital i just never thought i would be that someone telling that story..

i'm still spooked about it and still tweaked and light headed little over it.

i guess i need to have more control over my heart getting broken!
or in this case exploded!

at least i still have my sense of humour

till next time
hmmm next time.. that has a whole new meaning after today's event

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Good to hear you made it.  Once i got stung by a bunch of fire ants.  Made my neck swell.  Then I got to sit in the nurses office at work and read magazines while they pumped me with adrenaline.

Not really a good comparison.  Fricking fireants.

Glad you're still with us, Nick! That kind of situation (mistakes in the hospital with possible deadly result) has long been s a serious concern of mine. I lost my dad earlier than I should have due to the carelessness of low-level healthcare workers.

Now that you are all into appreciating life, maybe next Cat Jam someone can snap your picture without you adding your special sign in there !?! ;)
