Dear Lord, I want this car.

Oh, yes. Yes I do.

Can we say "potential"?

Body looks good, and how hard could it be to rewire a 1976 anything?

In case the ad disappears (it'll probably sell fast) here's the text:

I once had a '76 Torino.  Still have the 351W and C4.  Contemplating putting it in my Tbird to get it over with, lol.

Mine was not in that good of shape, though.  I'd sure hit it.

88Turbo, are those the same wheels that came on the same year Tbirds? I see them come up on Craigslist locally from time to time. I can certainly pick a setup for you sometime and drop them off on my way through later.

I was wondering the same thing. I've had a few 78/79 T-Birds and it looks like the same wheel. The Town Landau came with gold, while the Heritage and Diamond Jubliee, for example, could be color keyed.

That things looks tough!

As for the wheels, There was a late 70's T-Bird in the junkyard last summer that had those rims.

It would cost more than $2k just to transport a restorable car to Nova Scotia from the south and get it through customs (and that's not including the cost of the car). If the rust in the pics is only surface rust from the paint being burned off (which appears to be the case) that car is a bargain.

Paul, I like that Powerstroke idea. I was thinking Explorer/GT40 5.0/4R70W swap, but that diesel idea definitely has merit...
