I think there was some lapses on both sides on this transaction.
I think it needs to be handled in the open, and all party's happy.
Considering the parts are still available.

Well Im gettin in before it is locked.

I saw this in the morning. Seller is wrong. No bias there, I have worked with Paul before and had no issues. The sellers job is not complete until the item has been received and condition verified by the buyer.

This is a business transaction. I dont know if anyone else has ever heard this but you dont always make money doing business... You lose too.

In this situation, OUR MEMBERS stand behind their sale. I shipped a manual dr seat track to badbird, it got there, he discovered that one of the legs had a crack at the bend. I sold him a defective product. I returned his FULL payment, including shipping. I ate the cost of shipping. Thats business.

So here are the sellers options.

1. Ship the parts, eat the cost. Things continue as normal.

2. Refund Paul his money. Things continue as normal.

3. Refuse to send parts or refund money. Things go on as normal, minus you and any future sale you will ever make here.

Paul will win this so I suggest not to fight it.

What do I know, its not like I ever sell anything though....

All I have to say, is that paul is the easiest seller I have ever delt with in my life, and I was way over compensated. I wouldn't hesitate at all to sell to him, and I would do him a favor if asked. I would also send anything to him out of my own pocket because of how long he has been on here with no problems that I'm aware of.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I agree with Kitz,NO BASHING of anyone.Especially before there is a final outcome.Attacking the seller isn't cool. We,as 3rd parties need to stay cool and wait it out.Constructive comments should be O.K.,but not bashing. It turns into an angry mob scene fast,a lot of times when it shouldn't.I posted my thoughts on the locked thread this references, and as stated above, sometimes you lose a little in business. Not often, but sometimes.

Its hard not to bash him. We are protective of our small community we have here. Tolerance for acts like these is very low.

I was kinda constructive... I offered options... lol

It's not about tolerating bad behavior (so to speak). It's about rising above certain "actions" instead of lowering ourselves to those conditions.I agree,we are protective, which,is probably why we don't have that many bad things around here to deal with other than a few little disagreements on occasion. That's what families do.If we're lucky,it'll work out the right way,we all shake hands and move forward.

Hmmmm, glad I haven't sent the money for the wheels, then.  Would love to have the flakes, but at this point, I think I'll do some more shopping.  The flakes have been painted, btw.  Got good close-ups of 'em from the guy.  Was close to buying, but no cigar.

vinnie,
you see where being soft gets you dont you?  People end up becoming the type of person this guy totally justifies himself as legit, and yet in so much as a blink of an eye, self convineced of himself and sure in his strategy. Sounds famliar eh?

Then you wake up one day and your surrounded by idiots.  Its an evolution the whole  country has groomed into power and i dont really care what you or anyone else says,,,,,,,,,,taking a chill on this guy goes totally against what I see happened.  the seller frigged up the estimated shipping.  ship the parts or dont be coming back here jackin around.

Pretty simple to me.

just so you know, as of late i am totally out of patience for the so called politically correct way to handle things.  A thousand and one justified reasons obvious to eveyone as we sit back and whitness things that were unimagineable yesterday.  For this a say that any opportunity within the common mans reach should be handled with strength and without question.

This is not only PayPal's policy, it is just plain decency.

its become very accepted lately the need for such acts be looked down upon.

Payment has been returned to V8 Demon.

All,
Money has been refunded to Paul via Paypal.
Honestly, I'm very disappointed in how this whole thing went down. In hindsight, better communication by both parties at the time of sale (FEBURARY)  would have prevented all of this.
I'm not out to scam anyone and am dispointed over the personal bashing I've recieved over $15. I understand you say the value of the item does not matter, but lets put things in perspective.
In the meantime, your personal bashing has also has lost me the additional sale of my wheels.
In conclusion, Paul I apologize for the inconvience and headache this has caused you. The $15 has been returned to your Paypal account.

(Apologies to Zach...not stepping on toes here--just wanted to post this in public for all to see.)

Cam, you have to understand a few things. In the past we've banned people from the board for taking money and then not delivering the goods, whether intentional or not. We sincerely want to give people on both sides the benefit of the doubt. However, we do tend to side with the buyer because of these past incidents. Coupled with your admission that you did receive the money from Paul in Feb. 2009, did send, did receive back, but then did nothing else, THEN posted the same parts for sale 8 months later...you have to see how that looks to our community. The admins are very diligent and very strict when it comes to these matters. That's why there was such a heavy hand at play here. Also, money is not the issue, the principle is. For some people, $15 is a lot of money and we will defend $15 as much as $1500.

Looking back, could we all have been a little more understanding? Certainly. I think the admins and everyone here in general owe you a big apology because, in the end, you've turned out to be a stand-up person and did the right thing. I hope that everyone has learned a little something from this situation...as it stands now, everything is resolved and we appreciate having you on the board. Hopefully nothing like this happens again. And we wish you luck with selling the rest of your parts.
